Do you miss the Iwade Observer? We know lots of you do. The Iwade Parish Council are doing their best to revive the Iwade Observer but need volunteers for a variety of roles. Perhaps you want to get your steps in and deliver a round? Or you would like to gather content or help with the design. Southern Gas Network (SGN) will be back to finish gas works starting Monday 26th October due to be finished by 6th November meaning The Street (outside the Woolpack) will be shut during working hours. We love a main road closure don't we Iwade! Last time they opened when they had finished work and at the weekends although this won't help the school buses!

The new Iwade Village Hall is being built at the entrance to Iwade as you come in from the A249 flyover. According to September IPC minutes it is due to be finished April 2027 and in line with Section 106 must be finished by June 2027. A recent poll on IwadeVillage.co.uk on Facebook showed that residents would like youth clubs, short mat bowls, badminton and bingo we've passed that on to Iwade Parish Council. Note the old Iwade Village Hall will be demolished once the new Village Hall has been "signed off" so Iwade will not be without and Tinkerbells Preschool will go too and have been told there will be a small garden.

The Woolpack reopened its doors headed up by new landlady Mel on Tuesday 23rd June 2026 and is ready to serve your drinks and/or food with a spruced up beer garden too. Quiz Nights on a Monday starting 3rd August and register your interest if you fancy Thursday night darts. Regular live music keep an eye on their socials there's live music this Friday 24th to warm you up for Iwade Rock! Dog friendly, community vibe, flowers in the beer garden, why not pop along and say hi
